Week 6：class reunion

　　The weather was very good this weekend. My high school classmates and I went riding at the riverside park on Saturday morning. We rode bikes for about two hours and went to a cafe near the park to have lunch and escape ourselves from the stinging sunshine.

　　My classmates and I are very close even though we are now studying in different University and have very little time to gather together. As a result, we not only had lunch together but also spent the rest of the day in the café sharing our University lives and recalling the good old days we had had together.

　　I felt extremely delighted and happy that day and the gathering made me think about holding a class reunion and have all the teachers and classmates together to have a meal. Even though all of us are very busy and all of us are living in different cities in Taiwan or even abroad, I really hope that a class reunion can be a chance to gather all of us and we can build more beautiful memory together.

Week 5：plan a trip

　　My sister and I will go to New York this summer vacation. I am so excited but also worried. We have already booked hostel and plane tickets but we are still planning our schedule. In my past experience, New York is a big apple which contained so many different people, different buildings and different opportunities. I really want to go there and witness how the world’s biggest economical city works and see so many buildings or universities that I usually see on TV.

Week 4: a tiring week

　My team members and I were asked to present a report about Ralph Waldo Emerson’s famous book, named “Nature.” In the beginning I felt excited because I have heard the author’s name for many times but I never have chance to read his article. I thought that it would be a great chance for me to “make friends with Emerson.” However, after I started to prepare for the presentation I found that I could not understand the tough philosophy of his words. I end up feeling extremely exhausted and frustrated for the whole week because of the complicated texts and the hard-understandable meanings beyond words. I stayed in the library whole day on Sunday, trying to understand and analysis the articles; however, I failed in the end.

　　We have to deliver the presentation two days later, and now I just finished self of my report. In the end, I have no choice but to ask my teacher for help. I hope that my presentation won’t be too awful and I hope that I could learn more about Emerson and transcendentalism through the report.

WEEK 3: night market

　　I went to night markets at Wan-hua and Yong-he with my friends this Saturday night. Our trip started at Lung-Shan Temple, a famous historical site in Taipei. We spent half an hour there seeing many visitors and people praying with incense sticks and after that we started the trip to night markets.

　　We planned to go to Hua-shi Street Night Market, for its variety food choice. However, when we arrived, we found out that many vendors did not come because of rain. We had no choice but to change our destination so we took the MRT to Le-hua Night Market. We spent almost 3 hours there and ate a lot of food. When I got home it was already midnight and my parents were a little bit angry because I hadn’t told them that I would get home late. However, even though I was scolded, it was still a delighted night.

228 holiday

　This weekend my classmates and I went to l-lan. Actually, before we went there, I didn’t really want to go with them because I had been there several times and I thought I-lan was not an interesting place. However, after the 2-day trip, I totally crush on the county and really want to go there again and again.

　　We visited a very famous pencil factory, which was established more than 60 years ago, on the first day. It was a great trip! We painted our own pencils and were introduced the process of making pencil by guide. On the second day, we went to a well-known park designed by a famous painter and author in Taiwan. After that, we visited several local factories, like cake factory, cosmetic factory.

　　At the end, we went back to Taipei at about 4 pm and luckily we didn’t suffer from the traffic jam. Even though it was only a 2-day trip, it really inspired me and would force me come to visit to county again and introduce the place to all my friends.
